Playing Catch-up..

So it's been awhile. What can I say, I'm pregnant. I know, not much of an excuse but to say the least, I've been pretty overwhelmed with a lot of stuff. So anyway, I debated on just skipping over things but decided to just do a quick overview of the last couple months....

For Halloween Brigham was a black ninja. It took some convincing to get him to be that instead of the usual spiderman that he always wants to be but he eventually gave in :)
Jordan was a beautiful witch. Thank you to her Aunt Keri who lent her her wonderful witch hat.
Tegan was a dragon. Yes, the same one Brigham wore 2 years ago....Girls can be dragons too, right?
And Brandon was a pirate :) So we started off the night at the neighborhood trunk-or-treat over at the park. Then Brandon took Brigham and Jordan around to a few houses while Tegan and I stayed home with Uncle Spencer. After they got back, they were soon off to bed and Brandon, Spencer and I stayed up playing Risk. (Which is around the time our addiction came about..)
I don't even remember when this was but when I finally decided to do something about all the leaves covering our front lawn, Steph's kids came home from school and couldn't resist joining in the fun! They loved it..

And here I am at about 37 weeks. Yes, ready to pop! I haven't taken many pictures of me pregnant. Mostly because I feel kind of stupid asking someone to take a picture. ("Hey, you want to take a picture of me?") Yeah, pretty dumb. Well, I do wish I had more. It's always fun to look back on those pictures and say to yourself, "was I really that big?!" I do think the pregnant belly is pretty cute, too. It's just all the other added weight that I could do without :)
Jordan had her Christmas program for preschool today so I put her and Tegan's hair in curlers last night. They looked so darn cute! Tegan wasn't real happy about me trying to take her picture all the time. That and we were getting ready to head out the door to the gym....Awe my grumpy kids in the morning.... :)
And here are a couple pictures of Jordan at her Christmas program. She was so excited. Her teacher is awesome!

And I completely forgot to take pictures the other day on Jordan's birthday! I know, I'm so lame! Well, we didn't do anything too special. That morning she woke up to the traditional balloon presents scattered all over the basement. Brandon bought her doughnuts and chocolate milk for her birthday breakfast, and we were off to the gym. She was so excited to tell everyone at the gym that it was her birthday haha! We came home and had her cousins over for a couple hours and then sat around for awhile playing with her new toys. When Brandon got home, we decided to take her out for dinner by herself. In the past, we always took the whole family but we thought it would be fun to have some one on one time with her. So we took her to Chuck A Rama. I hadn't been there since I was a kid so I was pretty excited :) Well, to say the least Jordan turned into an absolute nut job! I don't know if it was because we were alone with her and giving all our attention to her or what but she was so crazy! Brandon and I couldn't stop laughing haha! Well, she was pretty excited to finally be 5! Happy birthday Jordan!!

Conference Weekend

So for General Conference my family usually goes to our cabin. We haven't been for awhile due to weather so I was for sure not going to miss it this year. Me and the kids headed up on Thursday afternoon. I took Samm and Parker with me too to give my sister a break for a few days since she's soooo close to having her baby (yay!) When we got there, my sister Michelle and her family were there along with my little sister Jessica. We had so much fun playing games and eating junk! I wanted to stay up all night playing but my poor sisters couldn't hack it. I think we went to bed around 9:30 that first night. The next day we played even more and my brother Micah and his kids, his girlfriend Toni, and her sister Adrian along with her little girl joined in the fun. Then a little later on, my Hubby showed up with my little brother Joel and his friend Troy. That night we didn't go to bed until like 2 AM! Partly because we were waiting up for Jessica's husband to join us. He didn't roll in until around 1:30. We were so tired the next day but were still able to enjoy conference :) . The boys headed off to Priesthood that night and returned with the traditional treat, ice-cream! We stayed up until almost 3 that night. We enjoyed another day of uplifting talks on Sunday and after the final session, we stayed for dinner and played a couple more games of Scum. By the time we were done, we headed out to start packing everything in the trucks and found that there was like 6 inches of snow on the ground and it was still coming down! We quickly threw everything in and took off. We got home around 10:30PM. Awesome weekend! I love going to the cabin!

SO fun taking a bath at the cabin!
Brandon, Micah, Joel, and Troy played airsoft before the Priesthood session
Pretty sneaky....
Spoons was one of the favorite games among the kids....ok, we played it for awhile too :)
Parker played so hard the WHOLE time! And I thought he was too old for naps. This is in the middle of the afternoon!
Tegers going in for the kiss!
Sammy not wanting her picture taken haha! She broke her finger a couple weeks ago
Here's a bunch of the kids looking out the window trying to see the badger. There was rumor of one living on our property so this is as close as they were allowed to get to searching for him :)
Why does conference always put them to sleep?

And here's Tegan not wanting her picture taken....
Jordan's always up for a cheeser though!
We have a big family room downstairs where all the kids slept....this is also where they spent most of their time wrestling, watching movies, and playing games
Jordan loves to baby anyone smaller than her. This is her cousin Amylyn

Fillmore

My brother and sister-in-law live in Fillmore. Last week we went down to visit them and attend the book party. They live right by the mountains and it's only a 10 or 15 minute drive to this beautiful picnic spot. So we got our lunch and headed up....They loved climbing this HUGE rock....
I'm so mad these next couple pictures turned out so dark. This side of the mountain was really steep but the kids attempted to climb it anyway :)

There was also water which they just HAD to get in even though it was FREEZING cold water!
And they had to throw rocks in too......

Tegan in her makeshift outfit after soaking her other clothes in the water haha!
This was after I stripped her down. I let her sit in the sun for awhile so she would dry which she was perfectly fine with doing :) She loves to play in the dirt!
Tegan fell into the water soaking her clothes....
The kids got SO dirty! But they sure loved every minute of it! Later that night we went to the Miller High Football homecoming game where the kids had a lot of fun climbing all over the bleachers :)
Thank you Bryan and Lou Anne for letting us play!

Book Party

My sister-in-law is amazing! She and a couple of her friends read a selected book with their kids and then get together for a party. When I heard about the last one I asked if I could come to their next one. We read The Boxcar Children. My kids enjoyed the book and wanted to read it every day. (Probably because they knew there was going to be a party when we were done :) )
The pictures are all out of order, sorry.
So we started off in a big tent Lou Anne set up in her front yard. We read a book about trains and sang a couple songs. Then we went out on the lawn to paint our little boxcars red. Thankfully Lou Anne had some extra aprons for my kids :)
My kids absolutely loved painting those boxes!
Then they took their boxes over to get some "beds" glued in that were made out of straw. (We were going to make little people for them too but the lady in charge of that part wasn't able to make it.)
After that they had a little snack. Blueberries, milk, and bread. Which is what the boxcar children ate :)
Then they all gathered together for some races. They were very simple but the kids loved them. In the book the winner won some money so the kids all got a few nickels as prize money!
This whole thing was so much fun! Thank you thank you Lou Anne for letting us come and have fun with you!
