Oww!!

I just have to say how much I'm absolutely loving loratab right now. I got a root canal done on Thursday and have pretty much been drugged up ever since. Except for a few hours this morning so I would be able to drive to the gym. Seriously, I didn't remember it hurting this bad. I've had 3. You would think I'd remember. I've got to have the worst teeth ever. 6 months ago I went in for a checkup and had 2 small cavities which I got filled right away. I went in 2 weeks ago and now I need 3 root canals! What in the world?! I faithfully brush my teeth every day. Granted I'm not the best at flossing every day but I do use a mouth wash that supposedly strengthens the enamel. So anyway, I'm now halfway through the first one and not too sure I'll be able to survive 2 more. The checkbook definitely won't!

Jordan's 4th Birthday

I know, I know, Jordan's birthday was like a month ago. She saw Tegan's birthday pictures on here and wanted to know why hers weren't on here too.
She did have a pretty awesome birthday party. This was the first one I actually attempted. And yes, I did cheat a little. I invited Cinderella who provided most of the entertainment :)

We started off with a few games like ring-around-the-roseys
Then Cinderalla showed up and as you can see, Jordan was completely mezmerized by her! It was so cute. She didn't even pay attention to the story she was reading.
Then they made crowns with sparkles and jewels
Even Briggs got in on the action!
Then they took pictures with Cinderella and took turns sitting on her lap and such. They all had soooo much fun!
Happy Birthday Jojo!

Tegan's 1st Birthday!

So my baby turned 1 on Saturday! I can't believe it, this year has flown by! Tegan has been my best baby by far. She is so silly now which makes her fit in perfectly with the rest of us! We celebrated her birthday on Sunday because I accidentally made plans on her birthday with a friend of mine, Jenna. She is from Colorado so I don't see her often. Oh well, it's a good thing she's only 1 and doesn't know any different, right?
So here she is seeing her birthday cake for the first time. (Doesn't quite know what to think of it)
I have to note that Brandon made this wonderful 2 layer cake! Thank you sweetie! :)

Yes, we had to strip her down cause we knew this was going to get messy! She starts out a little timid....
but once she gets a taste of this heavenly treat, she can't get enough!
She had to find every last sprinkle!
I think it's safe to say, she is definitely a fan of chocolate! Here she is doing her "happy dance"
Happy Birthday Teger Wegers!!

Stephanie?

So it's naptime(blessed naptime!) and I decide to hop on the computer and catch myself up on all everyone's latest news. I go to my sister Stephanie's blog and I just start crying! I see that she hasn't written in awhile let alone made any comments on my blog. She has been working her life away lately with 2 jobs and I hardly even get to talk to her. For those of you who didn't know, we used to live a few short blocks away from each other. We were in the same stake and everything. Then we get this brilliant idea to sell our houses and build new ones right next to each other. Brilliant! My dream come true! We had our lots picked out and everything. We put our houses up for sale and hers sells within 2 weeks! Mine just sits and sits. She then moves in with her generous in-laws and waits for me to sell mine. I was having trouble finding a house plan in my price range and Stephanie was feeling a little claustrophobic sharing one bedroom with her 4 kids so we talked it over and decided it was probably not the right time for me to move since my house wasn't selling. So Steph went out looking at existing houses. She fell in love with one forever far away from me in South Jordan! I was so upset at how far away it was so I decided to look at homes for sale in South Jordan that I could afford. Lo and behold I find one that is absolutely perfect! Brandon and I both loved it and best of all, it was right down the street from Stephanie! After awhile, my house still wasn't selling and I was so extremely frustrated with my agent. We took our house off the market. A few months later, I noticed that the house we wanted was not only still up for sale, the price had dropped! I thought for sure this was a sign. We re-listed with a different agent this time and dropped the asking price on our house another 20 thousand dollars just to get it sold fast to get the other house. Well, 3 months later, still no offers. So we start praying asking the Lord if we should take it off the market again and a couple days later, the house we wanted sold. So here we are again. She tried selling her house to come back but the market is too horrible right now. Now she has decided to wait it out. Sorry for the long story but you have to understand how much this whole situation is killing me. I miss her so much! We used to see each other pretty much every day. I would give anything to have her back here by me. I love you Steph!!

Well, here it is the 12th already. I have already been slacking. To tell you the truth, I have actually been waiting til I had some cute pictures to add before I wrote but I don't have any at the moment.

So I quit my job at UPS. It was surprisingly really hard. I had made some friends in the short time I worked there and I really do feel obligated to "cover" until they have a replacement. I am such a chicken, though. I couldn't even go in and do it in person! I called in and got the answering service where I just left a message. I know, pathetic right? I tried texting a girl who I "thought" was my closest friend there and she still hasn't answered me back. That was 3 days ago. That is probably the hardest part about all of this. I worry a lot about what people think of me and have a hard time knowing they're upset at me. Along these same lines, I am worried people think I "couldn't hack it" loading trailers. That wasn't it at all. I actually looked forward to going to work. Anyone that knows me knows how much I love to work out. The thing I just couldn't do anymore was live off 4 hours of sleep. I kept telling myself I would get used to it but I never did. And I really didn't like that Jordan would have to sit and watch cartoons at nap time while I slept. (Even though I KNOW she is going to miss that.) I know it affected my mood and I was really starting to feel the effects physically as well. So yes, I am back to life as a full-time mommy! I really am excited. I am very excited to be able to go back to my routine at the gym and still be able to be awake the rest of the day for my kids.
Speaking of kids, Brandon and I can't wait to have another one! No I am not pregnant but we do hope the Lord will bless us with another sweet spirit! Jordan is getting so big! She will be starting preschool next year and on to kindergarten the next. My little Brigham might be starting kindergarten next year too! I haven't quite decided yet. It would sure be nice to only have one (or maybe two!) at home a couple days a week!

New Year!

Wow how time flies! I swear I'm the worst blogger ever! That's why I didn't want to start one of these, because then everyone could see what a slacker I am. Well I hope I do better this year.

Last night my kids and Hubby and I stayed up waiting for the new year. Tegan didn't last past 8:00 but Brigham almost made it!  He finally zonked out at 11:40. We tried waking him but it really didn't even phase him. Jordan of course made it and would have outlasted even Brandon and I. She is such a night owl. It was pretty cute, too. She was watching the movie 8 Below. She was almost in tears when they left the dogs behind in the cold. Then when the dog died, we had to come see. She kept saying "this is such a sad movie!".

So my new years resolution ISN'T  to lose weight. I know, big shocker. That's been it for like 10 years, I think I could use a change. So anyway, I would really like to work on my testimony and becoming closer to the Lord. I am going to show more faith in him and include him more in my every day life. I know that if I do that, he will relieve some of my stress and anxiety. My patriarchal blessing states that if I will study the scriptures every day he will let me know the things he wants me to do that day. I know he will be right there with me, too, as I strive to do those things. I have been focusing too much on what I THINK I should be doing and what others would think of me and I know I need to think more about His plan for me.

So anyway, I look forward to hearing everyone else's resolutions! I love this time of year when everyone is so ready and willing to make changes in their lives. Change is good! After all, If you keep doing what you have always done, you will keep getting what you have always got!
