Update

I've been meaning to come to Steph's house with my camera but always seem to forget. I'll just have to blog about things without the pics and hopefully some day I'll remember to come add them :)
Jordan and Brigham both started school! Jordan has been in kindergarten for about a month now and she absolutely loves it. And she gets to go with her absolute best friend in the whole world, her cousin Aubrey! It's so cute to see them walk together and hold hands. Their teacher is Miss Webster. The last couple weeks they were reading "Brown Bear" and every day they had to wear a certain color that pertained to the story. She thought this was so much fun and was pretty upset when it was over and she didn't have to wear anything special anymore. But this week they were reading the book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom". I had heard of this book before but had never actually read it. But I was lucky enough to go help in her class yesterday (which is SO much fun) and they made a chicka chicka boom boom tree out of food and got to eat it when they were done. Then they watched a little movie about the book. It's a pretty silly book but the kids loved it. I really like her teacher, she is so good with the kids. Jordan has started having a little attitude since school started. I don't know if it's cause I give her lots of attention when she gets home wanting to know what she learned or what. But a lot of times she doesn't want to discuss what they did which makes me pretty frustrated and sad. But I actually think that me volunteering in her class has helped with it quite a bit!
I didn't think it was possible to get any more excited about going to school than Jordan did when she was going to preschool but I do believe Brigham has topped her! He loves it so much more than I ever imagined he would which makes me incredibly happy. I've been worried about him being ready for school next year because he's a summer baby. And I've also been concerned about how shy he is. But he has not had a problem opening right up. He cries every day that he doesn't have school because Jordan gets to go every day and his is only twice a week lol.
My little Teger Wegers has really come out of her shell a lot. She is so good with Parley and loves playing with her big brother and sister. She can be a real stinker sometimes but I think that's mostly due to her wanting to be included and sometimes Jordan and Brigham thing she's too young to do some of the things they are doing. But for the most part, they play really well together. She has also gotten closer to her cousin Haven lately. Probably because Haven is willing to baby her and drags her along everywhere lol. I love her to pieces though. She is my first kid to prefer me over Daddy which is pretty huge :)
Parley is finally growing again. He's up to 19lbs 9oz. Still refuses to crawl forward but he's definitely a mover. He will go side to side and backwards all over the floor. Until he backs himself into a corner that is haha! He loves his baby food, especially the cereal. He has to have a big bowl full every morning before we go anywhere. He's a very good baby, I definitely can't complain. I love his huge smiles and giggles. And I especially love that he lets me snuggle him and smother him with kisses :)
Brandon's new job has been going pretty well. He has been working for A+ Sewer and Water for about 3 months now and he is tons happier. The guys he works for love him and value his work. He is on call 24/7 which sucks a lot of the time but we've decided that we'll take it whenever we can get it. I think he has finally found his new "home". It took us awhile to find it but I know all those 'not so good' experiences were what brought us to where we are now. It's amazing to see the Lord's plan pan out sometimes. I feel blessed to have a husband who is so willing to do whatever it takes. He is so amazing. He is always serving others and has a great attitude about it. I need to be more like him sometimes.
As for me, I'm working on getting better at running. My speed as well as my distance. I have actually shaved about 5 minutes off my 5k time! I know, it's only 3 miles but I haven't been running more than 5 miles because I'm still a little paranoid about losing my milk. I did sign up for the Wasatch Back race for next year and I AM going to do it this time. Very excited and happy I have more time to train this time. Again, I will try to get pictures up ASAP!

Change

Alright so for any of you who don't know yet, we no longer have the internet. I know, pretty crazy huh? Well we've been talking about getting rid of it for quite a while now but have just never done it. Yes, I have to admit that I had a hard time imagining life without the outside world at my fingertips. Being able to chat with people all over the world, read about other people's wonderful lives, and of course, share mine. Which is why when Brandon saw the perfect opportunity to get rid of it, he jumped on it. The kids and I went to the family cabin for a few days and when I returned, it was all gone! The cable tv, the internet, and my home phone. I was in total shock for a few days. I felt incredibly lonely and frustrated. But I'm ok now. I've survived 2 weeks! Now I just come over to my sister's house and use her internet lol. I was actually going to say that I might not be blogging as often but seeing as how it wasn't very often in the first place, I guess things won't change much. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I won't be on the internet very often so don't think I'm ignoring messages and such. But I do plan on blogging still. Just not sure how often. We'll see how it all pans out!

New Hair!

I have to say what an awesome sister-in-law I have. She does mine and my kids' hair for us and does such an amazing job. If it weren't for her, I don't think I would ever get anything done to my hair. My girls are so lucky to have her as an aunt :)
I wanted to do something with Jordan's hair but she absolutely refused to let me cut it. I could trim it but she definitely didn't want it like mine lol. So I mentioned perming it cause I know how much she LOVES to have curly hair. She was so extremely excited she could hardly stand to wait the 2 days till we could go to Aunt Keri's house and get it done....

Isn't it so cute?! Here's her with her Aunt Keri :)
All the rods finally in....

About to put the neutralizer on. Keri said she cried a little on this part. She really stressed the importance of not getting it in her eyes and she thinks it got her a little scared. That and the smell haha!
But here she is, all done! She loves it!
And here's my sweet Tegan. I love her with short hair. For her I decided to do a little A-line. It looks so super cute on her, I can't get enough!
Kind of hard to see it from the front..
Here's the back..
A little bit of bed head haha! We didn't get home till really late or I would have taken pictures right after she did it. She styled it so cute too.
And I just love this picture. She loves her hair so much she wants me to take her picture like every 5 minutes haha!

Poor Par Par

Parley got his first tooth about a week ago. Which explains why he's been acting up the last few weeks. I was not too excited about going camping with a teething baby but oh well, what can you do? At our campout he was having a hard time taking naps and never wanted me to put him down. He also screamed about half of the drive home. Saturday night after we got home he was having a hard time going to bed again. I figured it was because he got spoiled the last 2 nights by getting to sleep next to me in the trailer. But there just wasn't anything I could do to calm him down. He was up on and off the whole night screaming.
Well the next morning when he woke up I got him out of his crib and noticed his ear was all goopy! I felt so terrible. I was getting so frustrated with him and he was crying in pain the whole time. So I took him in to the doctor and sure enough he had an ear infection. His first one :( I started him on medication right away and he is feeling much better already :)

Randall Campout 2010

This year we had our campout at Strawberry Reservoir. It's up in the Uintas so I was a little concerned about the weather. Especially after I was informed by my Father in Law that the first night was going to get down to 32 degrees. So I begged and pleaded with Brandon to go get the trailer from our 4 Plex in Layton. We were actually planning on selling it so Brandon had just gotten done cleaning it all out so he wasn't too excited about having to put it all back together but he did it anyway, for me :) He had to do some maintenance on it like resealing the roof and fixing a broken toilet but all in all it was ready to go. And I was very glad we had it too.
We were about to leave Thursday afternoon. The kids were all buckled up and ready to go. For some reason the hood of the truck was ajar so I went to close it and noticed the top of the inside of the hood was ripped apart. Brandon came over to look at it and told me that it was the serpentine belt coming apart. I said, "well, let's just go and fix it when we get home" (I was pretty frustrated it was so late already). Then he told me that the serpentine belt is what keeps the engine running. Bad belt, no drive. So of course this only got me even more frustrated. Now we had to all get out of the truck and wait for Daddy to replace the belt. Well thankfully I have a really amazing husband. He ran and bought a new belt and we were ready to go in an hour. (I love that man)
We drove up there with Danny and Keri, who also had their trailer, so we could look out for each other. It was almost dark by the time we got there and we were the last to arrive. But they already had the camp fire going so the kids and I hopped right out to join everyone while Brandon and Danny got the trailers set up. After a few smores and stories, the kids and I headed to bed. That night was pretty cold. It probably did get down to 32 if not colder. My kids did pretty well though. About 2AM I got Brandon to start the heater which was so heavenly :)
Friday morning we woke to frost all over everything. Bryan and LouAnne made us some yummy whole wheat pancakes and dutch oven potatoes. I got out my bike and trailer and took the kids for rides in it while we waited for breakfast to cook. After we all got done stuffing our bellys, the men took all the kids to the lake to fish. I stayed back with my Mother in Law, Tammy, LouAnne, Tegan, and Parley.
Bryan came back with the kids a couple hours later because they were all hungry and a little tired of sitting. After getting some lunch, Tammy and LouAnne took some of the kids for a walk down to the lake. They came back an hour or so later all wet! Jordan and Brigham had fallen down in the water. They've got some awesome Aunts :)
Everyone else came back a few hours later. Danny and Keri were the only ones lucky enough to snag a fish. Brandon had one but just before he was able to bring it up on the shore, it got away :(
The kids just played and played. Anything from looking for "treasure" to playing in the rocks on the road, to playing in the sage brush. And I thought it would be a problem not having any trees around lol. It ended up getting pretty hot and a few of us felt the effects with a sunburn.
That night Mom and Dad made us their famous chili and Danny and Keri whipped up some breadsticks in their trailer. After getting the kids to bed Brandon and I were able to stay up and play Clue with everyone in Danny's trailer. That night didn't get as cold and we all slept a little better.
The next day was Brigham's birthday! He was so excited! We got up and made everyone french toast and Tammy and Jason made sausage and bacon with lots of fruit. After we all cleaned up we brought out the presents for Brigham. He got 2 squirt guns, 2 nerf guns, 2 foam axes, and 2 foam swords. We figured we better get 2 of everything so someone could fight back haha. He loved them!
After another shot at fishing we were ready to go home and shower. Well, we were ready but I don't know about the kids. They had SO much fun. Not once were they sitting around wondering what to do. And they were thoroughly exhausted at the end of every day. I love camping! And I'm so glad I have family that enjoys it too.

In no particular order....

Ugh!

I really need to do some serious venting right now! There has been so much going on the last couple weeks and I'm completely frustrated.
First of all, I was training for my run and proud to say, I had gotten up to running 6 miles! I was so proud of myself. I felt on top of the world! But then the next night I had my softball game. Parley was asleep and had been for almost 3 hours. My mom was going to watch my kids for me so I just decided to pump so she could feed Parley when he woke up. I got like 1 tablespoon! I couldn't believe it. I just started to cry. Breastfeeding my babies is so important to me. It's my bonding time and gives me the peace of mind that I am giving them the best that I can. I thought about what to do all night long. I had made a commitment and really didn't want to go back on it. But finally I decided that I just had to back out of the race. I had been training really hard and I guess my body just couldn't do all that when I'm trying to nurse. Besides the training, I had been really stressed and anxious about the whole thing because I wasn't quite sure about myself and if I would be able to do it. And I know how hard on my body stress is. I think that was also contributing to me losing my milk. So no, I'm not running the race anymore. I'm pretty sad and upset about it. Especially because everyone keeps saying "don't worry, there's always next year..". Well no, I'm not sure it's even a possibility next year. Or when it actually would be. My life is so up in the air right now I really don't know where I will be at. Whether I will be pregnant or just having another baby. So for the last couple weeks I have been doing anything I can think of to build up my milk supply again. I have been eating more, drinking a ton, and definitely not running. It has been a very slow process but I think I'm finally getting it back up. But there are still those times where I feel like I just don't have enough. So then it makes me wonder if I even made the right decision by backing out of the race. If it's even making a difference.
I know most of you already know this but in January, Brandon started a new job which allowed him to be home in the mornings. Before I had Parley I would faithfully go to the gym every morning at 9 AM. I would usually take my kids with me but after having a baby that's no longer a possibility because the daycare at my gym won't take them until they are 6 months old. So knowing Brandon would be home in the mornings made me so happy because I would be able to go back to the gym so soon. At first everything went very well. I was able to go to the gym almost every day. I felt totally happy with life and with my kids. Even through all the financial difficulties we were going through, I was able to stay very positive. I always felt like it was because I was able to go to the gym every day but now I am certain. The last few weeks I haven't been able to go because Brandon's work schedule has been crazy and now he got another new job which is in the mornings again. It's amazing how different I feel now days. I am very moody and get frustrated a lot. With my kids and with Brandon. I feel really bad because I know he is only trying to provide for us which I am so very grateful for. I just can't seem to force myself to be happy. Everything was going so well for awhile. All I could think about was having more kids because I was enjoying them so much. In fact, I was constantly saying to myself, when's the storm going to hit cause life it just too great right now! It makes me feel sad to know all that has changed now. I was doing so well with everything. I was getting so close to my goal weight and feeling good about myself. I was finally going to do a race that I have always wanted to do. I just felt like I was accomplishing something and working towards something. And I was seeing the progress! But now I feel like I have lost myself. I feel stuck in my house, constantly being weighted down by everyone else's needs and not being able to meet mine. I go through sort of a self destructive phase where I get so down on myself. I just want to sit on the couch all day and eat anything I can get my hands on! I know, I totally sound crazy right now but I really wish I could snap out of it and be happy again. Sorry for the depressing post. I just had to get it all out. Life is just really not fun right now :(

So this post is all about me today. Sorry, no pictures or anything special.
I'm officially signed up to run the Wasatch Back! For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a relay race from Logan to Park City. 188 miles! You start Friday morning and run nonstop until Saturday afternoon. There are 12 people on my team and I am the 12th runner which means I will be the finisher! WooHoo! I am so extremely nervous! I ran my first 5K a couple weeks ago and I had horrible anxiety for at least a week before the race. And this one is longer and harder. A friend of mine is going to help me train but I only have about a month to do it. (Most people start training in February!) I'm also trying to figure out my eating habits. I don't really know what to eat before running or when in order to make myself feel really good and energized. From what I have read, it's completely opposite from what I am used to eating. Lately I have been on a low carb, high protein diet trying to lose my baby weight. (which I have successfully done :D ). I've been told though that you want to do the opposite which makes me kind of nervous. I don't want to gain all my weight back that I've worked so hard to lose!
I've also been off sugar for 3 weeks now! Brandon and I made another bet that I couldn't go without desserts, candy, and chocolate for a year. The first couple weeks were pretty tough. It's usually not so bad now though. I really love the fact that I don't ever go to bed with guilt about what I ate! Sometimes I eat a little too much and that sucks but at least I don't have all that refined sugar in my system that I have to burn off. And it has helped me get over the hump that I have been on for the last month or so. I've lost about 7 pounds since April 19th! (That shows how much I was eating before lol.)
Well that's about it, I guess I better get running!
